EZ-CAST
EZ Cast is a water clear polyester casting
resin. It uses MEKP catalyst.
EZ Cast is used to make clear, rigid plastic parts.
Excellent for cast layers up to ½" thick.
Add 12 drops of catalyst per ounce of EZ Cast.
EZ Cast is compatable with molds made of:
Polyethelyene, Silicone Rubber, Por-a-mold, Ceramic,
or Glass.
Silicone spray mold release required for most molds.

| IASCO EZ CAST is an ideal Water Clear casting resin for art, craft, scientific preservation, and commercial applications. Pre-promoted for a tack free finish. No special equipment required. IASCO E-Z-CAST can be poured in layers up to 1/2" thick for embedment. Compatible with polyethylene, polyurethane, latex, and silicone molds. Shrinkage is approximately 6%, but this may vary considering catalyst ratios and mass variations. Great for taxidermy, jewelry, potting, and museum applications. IASCO E-Z-CAST may be tinted with transparent pigments from the IASCO 8 PACK TRANSPARENT DYE SET, or pigmented with the IASCO 6 PACK OPAQUE DYE SET. Use 12 drops of catalyst per ounce of E-Z-CAST when poured at 1/4" thickness. Shelf life when stored in a cool, dry place: 4 -6 months. Catalyst shelf life:3-5 months. |

Mass Cast is used exactly as EZ Cast with
one exception.
Mass Cast is formulated to cure at thicker sections
than EZ Cast.
Mass Cast has the same water clear appearance.
Mass Cast uses the same catalyst.
However catalyst ratios are less for thick
section cure:
12 drops cat. per ounce of resin @ ¼" thick.
4 drops of cat. per ounce of resin @ 6" thick.

| IASCO MASS CAST is a water clear casting polyester resin
formulated to withstand the high heat and stress of thick section
cure. It is possible to achieve thick section cure up to 8 inches
cubed. The key to success with MASS CAST is in the catalyst ratio.
Too much catalyst, and the part will crack and burn (polyester resins
can generate up to 330 F. at peak exotherm), too little catalyst,
and the surface will remain tacky. Suggested guidelines for catalyst ratio at (77F): 1" thick - 9 drops catalyst per ounce of MASS CAST 2" thick - 6 drops catalyst per ounce of MASS CAST 3" thick - 5 drops catalyst per ounce of MASS CAST 4" thick - 4 drops catalyst per ounce of MASS CAST |
